At A Simpler Time, we've expanded our selection of solid brass bells over the years to include such favorites as hand bells, ship bells, and even a wide variety of professionally engraved bells.
Our first bell, and probably still our most popular, was our seven-inch diameter polished brass ship bell. Eventually, we increased the sizes offered up to a 50-pound, 15-inch diameter bell suitable for legion halls and even some churches.
Why do people buy a bell? In our home state of Minnesota, many people hang a brass bell outside their lake homes, both for looks and to summon family members who are boating or fishing. The result is a little "cruder" than machine engraving, but results in deeper, more noticeable letters that look great from a few feet away.
