"Callin' the Blue"---Limited Edition Art by Andy Thomas
This hugely popular new painting featuring past Republican presidents playing pool by artist Andy Thomas promises to be the best selling new release since his "Grand Ol' Gang" (showing the same GOP presidents playing poker) made its appearance in 2008. "Grand Ol' Gang," which had a companion piece featuring Democratic presidents playing poker, was the best selling limited edition art piece in the 13-year history of A Simpler Time, but most editions are now sold but and very difficult to find (we do have a few sizes remaining).
Your favorite GOP presidents are back for an encore, this time having retired to the billiard room for a friendly, relaxed game of billiards or pool. Artist Andy Thomas, best known for his realistic portrayals of the Wild West, has once again captured (from left to right) presidents Teddy Roosevelt, George W. Bush, Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Abe Lincoln and Richard Nixon sharing an amusing moment as the next ball to hit the pocket will be a blue one. Just as in "Grand Ol' Gang," a closer look at "Callin' the Blue" reveals such things as elephant designs in the pool lamp above the table, a painting of George Washington and even a painting on the wall that looks suspiciously like another Thomas popular print.

If any gallery tells you to purchase a print because it's going to "go up in value," our advice to you is to go somewhere else. Art should be purchased for your (and your guests') personal enjoyment only. But the reality is that the larger sized editions of "Callin' the Blue" are limited editions, and if sales of "Grand Ol' Gang" are any indication, they will eventually sell out (which means there will be no more made).
