AN HISTORIC DC-9 emerges from the clouds in the latest of our popular aviation wood triptych (3 panel) series. Designed and built right here in the good old USA using fade resistant shades of brown, grey and white to match most modern decors. Our exclusive DC-9 design is expertly reproduced on the rough, distressed sides of solid wood planks to create three panels.
The DC-9 entered service in 1965 and was the first commercial plane that could be flown into over 95% of the nation's airports serving even smaller cities. Delta retired its last one in 2014.
This is an heirloom quality piece of wall décor—not paper or canvas—with nearly one inch thick panels formed by joining solid wood planks and reinforcing the backs with “z” shaped barn door type slat backing. Available in three sizes ranging all the way up to nearly 8 feet wide (choose from the listings above). Measurements do not include space between panels when hung.
